Little Boy in "Little Glob of Toothpaste Guy"

This is a character I designed for a short film I had in mind called "Little Blob of Toothpaste Guy." It's about a boy who believes all things have souls, including a little glob of toothpaste he squeezes out one morning.

I started working on the animation for a scene where he first squeezes the blog of toothpaste out...Then I realized I really needed to finish the storyboarding process before I went on trying to animate a story that wasn't completely written.

A Symposium On Popular Songs

Disney, 1962. I made this post (in part) to share this music-based film with my friend Tim.

Tim: Sorry about the Chinese racism/stereotyping in that one scene. I hope you will enjoy it anyways!

The Benj in Space

My little cousin Benji is very inspiring. He is strange, incredibly smart, and talented...adjectives that describe my maternal side in general. But The Benj is special. His name is Benjamin, but he goes by Ben. My family just calls him...The Benj!

He's always talking about outer space and aliens, so I thought I'd try putting him in a space scene...with an alien!

Ferdinand the Bull

From 1938. Apparently, Ferdinand was voiced by Milt Kahl, and Ferdinand's mother was voiced by Walt Disney.

There's Good Boos To-Night!

From 1948. Love love love love these early Famous Studios Casper cartoons. I grew up with them (on VHS tapes), and because I'm so used to the high quality of animation and style I can't bare to watch the later (60's and so on) Casper. Watch this one in which Casper befriends an endangered fox!

I think Casper influenced my comic character, Tomboy, quite a bit.
